What should you wear to an opera at the MET ?

Since I have never been to an opera before, I don't know if there are some certain dressing codes I should be aware of so I won't look so stupid+out-of-place.

What should you wear to an opera at the MET ?windows live

Typically, jeans are NEVER acceptable dresswear while going to a performance.

If you are going with a group (6+ people) and want to make an event of it, you can all dress up - have done that before, and it's a blast!

When in doubt, the little black dress is never out of place, and you could dress it up or down with the right jacket.

Have a great night!

What should you wear to an opera at the MET ?windows media player 11 internet explorer

Depends on the night. If it's a gala opening or special staging then it's often black tie. Normal nights you can really wear anything you want. Some people look really out of place when they wear formal clothes on a normal night. Smart casual or a shirt and jacket should see you right for a normal opera performance.

HELP!!! Red boxes in IE, Firefox, & Opera where advertisments should be!?

I know this question has been asked several times before, but I have tried all that people have suggested and still have a problem. I have uninstalled and reinstalled IE 7, installed Firefox and Opera and I still have red boxes where advertisements should be. Can someone please tell me why I still keep receiving this error and if I'm doing something wrong. I am seriously beginning to think I have a virus on my computer, but don't want to draw that conclusion since everything else on my machine works fine.

Please help!!!

Is it possible to appreciate an opera when it's sung in Italian and Idon't understand the

I'm going to see an opera - it's being sung in Italian but there are English sub titles. Will I still be able to appreciate it, or will I be concentrating too much on the English sub titles?

How should I try and enjoy it?

Is it possible to appreciate an opera when it's sung in Italian and Idon't understand the language?web browser

It's very easy to read the sub/supertitles and still enjoy the show. Reading the summary in your program before the opera begins, or doing some research online before you go can also help.

If possible, do not wear jeans. If you must, however, you will probably not be the only one.

Is it possible to appreciate an opera when it's sung in Italian and Idon't understand the language?windows installer internet explorer

i've seen them, being sung in another language and i have enjoyed it, you can appreciate how well it sounds, even if yu don't understand the language :)
Personally i hate opera, Love pavorotti though.

My suggestion is to listen to it and enjoy the vocals.

Read a bit, and find out a bit about the play before it starts.

Hope i could help.

Good luck.
Get a booklet in the theatre and read the summery before so you won't have to stick your eyes to the subtitles. Watch what's going on, listen and enjoy it!
Certainly you can, if you just think of it as music.

I've been to operas that were sung in English, and in foreign languages too. I've also heard the same opera sung both ways. Personally, I find that I actually enjoy an opera more if it is in a language that I do not understand.

If that sounds strange, realize that the story line and dialogue in many operas is a bit on the limp side anyway. It's easier to enjoy the music for its own sake if you're not distracted by trying to follow the script. You'll get a libretto that briefly summarizes the plot anyway, and reading it beforehand or during intermission will tell you all you really need to know.

It's an individual thing, of course, but I'd advise just ignoring the subtitles and taking in the visual and auditory experience for itself.
There's no "right" way to enjoy it. Just sit back and let your senses be taken by whatever appeals to them. Maybe it's the melodies, maybe the choruses, maybe the subtitles will help, maybe just the plot synopsis in the program. Maybe you don't care much for the music but the staging and the costumes are fabulous.
You know - I've never been - but I know loads of people who have - and they say that the subtitles are a great help - and you get used to them very quickly (just like in a foreign film).

You also might want to do some reading about the opera before you go - that way - subtitles or not - you'll understand what's going on.
You shouldn't try to enjoy something, just let yourself enjoy it. Definitely read up on the opera ahead of time. The first one I saw was La Boheme and I read the libretto (the script and score) ahead of time as well. I quickly got used to the subtitles, but you don't need to read them to understand what's taking place most of the time. If the opera is professional, the actors should be good enough that you can tell what's going on by their actions and expressions. So whatever you enjoy the most - the acting, the vocals, the orchestration, whatever - just let yourself havea good time.

I throw up after I sing Opera?

I just started taking opera lessons and I find that when I go home to practice I throw up or gag after I do my exercises and sometimes during. I drink hot tea before but I do not know how to stop this.. :S I know that clearing my throat and throwing up can cause strain on my vocal chords so I have no idea what to do? Is this normal? What can I do? Does clearing your throat really harm you bad?

I throw up after I sing Opera?windows mobile

Could you be swallowing air? The other possibility is that you are tensing up the wrong muscle. When I get stressed I will sometimes tense up my stomach muscles unconsciously and give myself chronic heartburn for a day or 2 until I realize what I'm doing. As soon as I relax those muscles, it's gone. I would suggest practicing tensing different muscles in your abdominal region (when you're not singing) so that you learn what they feel like and you can tell (when you ARE singing) when you are tensing the correct ones for airflow and not any extra muscles which might put strain on your stomach.

I throw up after I sing Opera?safari browser internet explorer

ask ur doctor it sounds serious.
that is a good question i am taking regular singing lessons and i don't throw up u should ask ur doctor about it
You're not supposed to clear your throat.

You REALLY aren't supposed to throw up. It's ridiculously horrific for your vocal chords. You're stripping all the natural lubricant off your vocal chords every time you throw up.

It might be the tea you're drinking, maybe? Try drinking tons of water before, during, and after you sing.

You may be aggitating your gag reflex with the excersises?

If you're doing things like lip drills or gutteral anything, you may just have a really strong gag reflex.

You might just not be doing them correctly though. =/

Do you throw up at the dentist?
I throw up when I hear Italian opera. Maybe it's related to that.
I throw up when I have to listen to it!...
Hmmmm. Do you find yourself light-headed after you practice? You could be hyper-ventilating. Sometimes that makes me throw up.

You should tell your doctor, or at least your vocal teacher. Also, I'd be very concious of the muscles you tense while you sing.

How much do u usually earn from becoming an opera/classical singer?

...compared to pop superstars like Britney or Madonna?

What is the usual "pricetag" of a very famous opera singer for a single show?

And how about the album sales? I know it may not sell as much as current popstars but is it still profitable?

Can u earn a lot of money as an opera/classical performer?

I seem to notice there are a lot of classical singers or classically-trained singers who switch to pop music like Charlotte Church or Josh Groban.

p.s: sorry if this question has been asked before!

How much do u usually earn from becoming an opera/classical singer?microsoft office 2007

An A-list opera singer can easily make 100,000+ a night. Then they have to pay a lot of people with that. Your average opera singer gets a good deal less than that. Yes, you can make a lot of money, but nothing like what Madonna gets. Singers like Charlotte Church and Josh Groban are not necessarily famous for their voices. Most of their success would be attributed to the fact that they were able to mimic a mature voice at a very young age. That is why Charlotte Church has pretty much fallen off the radar. Josh Groban is a better singer and is still enjoying a career. But, I wouldn't look for him at the Met any time soon.

As for album sales, that is pretty much just gravy. It may not seem like it when you go to Barnes and Noble, but very few opera singers get recording deals. The record companies pick a few and stick with them. But, I can tell you that Enrico Caruso was the first recording artist to sell 1 million copies.

Does anyone love phantom of the opera(2004)?

i am in love with the 2004 Phantom of the opera i wacth it 5 times a day at least i dont know why its just emo i love gerard butler(phantom) and emma rossum does anyone have pics or videos or anything about it

Does anyone love phantom of the opera(2004)?safari browser

I thought it was okay, but I was looking at it mostly from the musical perspective, so my point of view is a little skewed. If you want my critique on that, I think that Emmy Rossum did a very good job with some hard intervals, the guy who played Raoul was decent, and Gerrard Butler was a disappointment compared to the Michael Crawford vocals. Then again, he was also a very HOT disappointment, so I guess I can't complain too much.

I also thought the costumes were lovely, and the acting was better than I expected, especially from Minnie Driver!

Does anyone love phantom of the opera(2004)?ds browser internet explorer

Its just emo? wow.
Go to yahoo movies and check it out. They have production photos, actor pages, trailers, and much more. Enjoy!
omg i love that movie i have probably seen it like a million time thats a good movie and i agree with you
I love that movie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have watched it over a million of times!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Its one of the best movies on the world!!!!!!!!!
I hate it. I liked "Tommy' by the Who better along with 'The Song Remains the Same' by Led Zeppelin. An oldie but a goodie is 'The Swing and Other Stories' on INXS. There was a very good documentary on Elvis as well as an old one on the history of jazz and swing that I watched recently. Heard the Beastie Boys had a new documentary and live concert coming out.
I think it's fantastic that you have fallen in under the spell of The Phantom :)

I can't say that I "love" it, but I suppose I am spoiled. I have seen the live show, and it's very difficult for the movie to live up to the real experience, especially when the chandelier (sp?) is dropped on the audience and you get to "feel" the music all around you :)

I don't have any pics or videos, but you can check out http://www.thephantomoftheopera.com/ and http://phantomthemovie.warnerbros.com/

Also, if you ever have the opportunity, do go see the live show. It is even more amazing than the movie, I know you'll love it!
I think that is like the best movie ever. i like the main girl's voice alot
I didn`t see it but I do wish to see it some day soon, because I love the idee. It`s original, clasical and slightly morbid.
I think i saw some of that movie.yeah, I did that is really good movie. My mom and I went to New York in August and I saw the play on BroadWay, and let me tell you it was AH-MAZING!!!!! Boy, would i pay to say that again(even though i didn't pay my mom did). When I become an adult i wanna go back and watch that play again. Oh , and to answer your question ,try going to Google , and search them up. Hope this helps.
I thought it was a very good movie. However, I was disappointed with some parts of the movie. I cried in the end.
The best version of Phantom was written by Maury Yeston and Arthur Kopit. It just missed B'way as ALW's play got there just before it did, so it instead did the dinner theater circuit and broke all records. The characters and music are far superior to the Broadway version. The TV version i snot a musical and features Charles Dance in the lead role and the beautiful Teri Polo as Christine. Try to get this one too. You'll love it.
the movie is okay, but the original broadway edition is sooooo much better i love it!! I listen to the original sound track all the time! michael crawfod and sarah brightman are sooo much better (Gerard Butlrer killed it (srry but it is true))
i read about it in a kid's book called "The bailey kids,The Phantom don't drive sport cars"LOL.I learn a lot from The bailey kids books
i dont but i love it!
i thought that movie was okay. i wouldnt go crazy over it!! Emma Rossum she sang good. but i just didnt care for the movie but if u like it thats okay im not going to say dont ever watch it again.
it's an ok movie.
I was thinking I would like it, but the music's too "pop".

Les Mis. kicks Phantom's butt.
my sister loves it too.. she even got the soundtrack of the movie.. i bought her a copy of the movie... she would play and watch them all over again...
Don't even get me started! Omg I am jsut as obsessed as u except I love everything phantom the movie, on stage, music everything! If you go to www.insleephesangtome.com there r some videos people have made taht r phantom based like they take clips from the movie and set them to music. Also if you look up Phantom icons on yahoo image search there are a lot of icons u can use on myspace and IM and stuff.

Permission for the phantom of the opera as a school play?microsoft office 2003 internet explorer

Have you seen that stage show? That is going to get very pricey very quick. Plus its on Broadway so good luck getting scripts and stuff. Most companies that do scripts don't do it for show that are still on Broadway. I think that might even be illegal.
ummm it might be a lot of money cuz all of the stuff.
That would be a REALLY expensive school play. Like crazy expensive. So, uh, good luck.
There are several versions, so I'm not sure which one you're doing, but generally, buying the scripts/scores necessary for cast members, director, crew etc. includes a license to perform. You should go to the Samuel French website (www.samuelfrench.com) and see if they have info or contact one of their reps by phone since they are most likely where you will end up obtaining the scripts anyway and will be able to tell you what your precise costs would be.
You need to contact the theatrical licensing agency that is authorized to negotiate for the ower of Phantom.

If you go to http://www.musicals101.com you can get to a listing of musicals and who to contact.

Unfortunately, you will also discover that Phantom of the Opera is not available.
I'm not sure if you should do Phantom of the Opera. If you did get permission the royalties on just one show would cost tons of money to put on, then the set, props, costumes would cost you an arm and a leg, then you have the special effects, like the falling of the chandelier, etc., for a school play would be too difficult to do. I would recommend doing something like Oklahoma!, My Fair Lady, Showboat, somthing easy and would fit into the school budget.

Why do people prefer Firefox over I.E and Opera.?

Okay here's the deal, I want to know why use Firefox when Both IE7 and Opera have been proven better. Tell me one thing Firefox has that Opera and/or IE7 don't.

Oh and you can't use anything thats been debunked by www.firefoxmyths.com

Off the bat this means no saying it's faster or more secure, or saying that it has less holes or it has add ons while the other two browsers don't. Those are just the most obvious ones I wanted to put out there the rest are on the site. Oh and don't bother saying it has skins that's the least important feature for a browser i'm talking about security and userfriendliness etc.

Why do people prefer Firefox over I.E and Opera.?windows messenger

Let's first go back to WHY FireFox. This is a Mozilla project.

It would be against the law for multiple companies to collaborate to make the same product. The whole idea is the develop a specification that everyone owns. Mozilla is that specification of how a Browser can work. So IE, Opera, Netscape, Sufari and countless other browsers were made to work following that mozilla standard. FireFox is the baseline development of that standard.

Oddly enough, there are many differences between browsers. These are the tiny mistakes that designers make when inventing their own. Of course, Internet Explorer added the ActiveX crap that makes it unique.

It was in 2002 when spyware and adware really started to get RAMPANT on the internet, rendering IE nearly useless. Many Windows Users discovered that FireFox did not have these problems, because ActiveX was the target of many of these problems. But eventually IE caught up, so the importance of FireFox has dwindled. But FireFox made life easier for many Windows oriented people, so they are loyal to the product.

Yes, http://www.FireFoxMyths.com tells the story well. But that does not mean that people would SWITCH.

During the late 90s, each version of internet explorer leaped over the previous version of Netscape. Each version of Netscape leaped over Internet Explorer. Opera gained ground during the IE vs Netscape wars. Even today, there are many Netscape fans.

Hey, many people still hate IE7. It will take some time to grow.

I use IE6 and Firefox at the same time. I still use Firefox to visit unknown websites. It's just a habit.

Good luck and Happy Computing.

Why do people prefer Firefox over I.E and Opera.?microsoft works internet explorer

Well, one big advantage is that FireFox is open source. I don't know a whole lot about Opera, but I do know IE doesn't provide it's source code to everyone. That's a big advantage to developers especially. :)
I use Firefox because it has a lot of handy plugins, displays HTML properly(sites that can't be displayed by FF are coded badly =%26gt; not worth my time).

Also, my copy of IE (version 6) keeps closing quite a few times unexpectedly, which is more than annoying.

As for Opera... I don't like that it doesn't have the option of opening a new window instead of a new tab.

Regarding the fastness issue - to me they're all the same, really. Didn't notice any difference.

Not to mention that it can't interpret HTML properly (I'm a web designer/developer and while it takes me 10 minutes to code a layout for FF and Opera... when it comes to IE compatibility I need an extra hour to make sure it looks mostly the same).
It all depends on one's opinion. Most people find Firefox more user-friendly, more customizable and more robust than IE. Opera does beat Firefox in many respects, but it's not so well known yet and it is also closed-source, thereby not allowing any changes. I myself like Firefox and Opera, but I don't find ANY reason to be fond of IE.
I prefer Opera. It is more secure than Firefox as well as faster.

Also, you can make more adjustments with Opera than you can with IE and Firefox.

I tried Firefox and it was too much like IE.

So, not everyone perfers Firefox over IE and Opera.

Personally, Firefox sucks almost as bad as IE.
Well, it is simple, i use IE6 and Firefox. Neither makes my computer crash, now IE7 what a load of crap. If I go to more that one site at a time, lock up!!!

Never really got into Netscape or Opera. hope that answered your question.
Most of the myths on that web page are pretty ridiculous. First of all, it 'debunks' some random quotes about the market share of Firefox (which doesn't say ANYTHING about the quality of the program), and second: the page starts by saying:

====

Disclaimer - This page is in no way affiliated with Microsoft, Comcast or anyone else.

====

But to illustrate (for example) the Anti-phishing myth, it states:

=====

Myth - "Firefox 2's Phishing Protection is better than Internet Explorer 7"

Reality - "Internet Explorer 7's Phishing Filter finished at the top of 3Sharp's list as most accurate anti-phishing technology, catching nearly 9 out of 10 phishing sites while generating no warning or block errors on the 500 legitimate websites tested." - Source

====

The source it refers to is

====

http://blogs.msdn.com/ie/archive/2006/09...

====

NOTE THE MSDN-PART!! That's a Microsoft site! Not only that, the first line of the second section of the 'proof' that IE7's anti-phishing filter is better reads:

====

To help us answer this question, we asked 3 Sharp LLC to conduct a study of the Phishing Filter in IE7 along with seven other products

===

A study that Microsoft paid for says that IE7 is better than Firefox. Big surprise!! It's very easy to claim a page isn't affiliated to any of those companies mentioned, but it'd be better if it only quoted from sites that aren't affiliated with any of those companies, EITHER.

But to answer your question... Why do I use Firefox?

Because

- it has tabs (IE6 doesn't), and because I like its menu structure better than that of IE7.

- Microsoft is too big a company, it needs competition. For years MS didn't work on IE6, but it shifted back into gear when Firefox was released.

The reason why I don't use Opera? Because at the time when I wanted to get something different than IE6, Opera only offered a free product with annoying ads. Firefox was free, and didn't have ads. Since then, I just never saw a reason to abandon Firefox.
Well i prefer firefox because of the extensions are many which satisfy my needs. Firefox is open source so you can write your own extensions.

Opera on the other hand has less extensions ie opera widgets. But opera is very good when compared on the security side.

IE is very very slow and dont prefer it at all.

Overall i accept that opera and firefox are both good for browsing but am never a fan of IE.
the question is illogical.

When I went we had a seat near the front of either the balcony

Upper circle on your bottom so people can still see the performance...
Sit in the Royal Circle in the front row. BUT make sure your seats are central as the theatre is quite small and the rows and very arched (does that make sense?) We had seats at the side and missed a couple of bits that happened to the side of the stage.

My daughter saw it and sat in the front stalls. She loved it and felt she had a brilliant view (she also liked being so close to the orchestra) but I know some people don't like being so close to the stage.
If you sit in the Stalls, try to aim to be sitting 5 rows back in the centre, these are called the Producers Seats and will give you the best view in the theatre. The next best would be The Royal Circle, but you would have to be at the very centre front to get the best view.

I hope you enjoy it, I work on the costumes for the show and have seen it countless times...I'll never get bored of it!

like dragging the storyline on,or doing something really stuuupid like bringing back the dead. Yeah I know what u mean.
You are beyond right.
they have to add twist to keep up ratings but yes ur correct
Many storyline depend on the actors. If an actor decides to leave the show in the middle of a good storyline. The writers try there best to stay with the original plan. When the recast the actor does not mean they will have the same chemistry as the old actor did.

You watch the shows daily and get familiar with the actors and then all of the sudden it is a new person.
You are exactly right. That's why I watch a couple. Nobody stays happy for very long and then when you think it'll be ok now - wham.....something else happens.
the worst thing is when they drag a story line or kill or mess up someones character. for ex in gh they killed alcazar and he was good. also for dillion when thye ruined his character
Of course there is trouble when things are starting to go well. Things are dull and uninteresting for the general public when couples are happy. Most people like to see conflict. It takes them from their own troubles or humdrum existence and gives them something exciting to watch. It gives people someone or something to root for.
The problem is that the people making the decisions aren't people who watch or even enjoy soaps. They see something on prime time or at a movie and think "Well, that'll work here" but it doesn't always happen that way. They should try reading a few days of Y/A.

What are some of the difficulties in singing an opera?

I know it is a really obvious answer, but I just want to see how much we should appreciate those opera singers! I would specifically like to know what makes it more difficult than musicals. Every spring, so many schools have a musical, but I have never heard of them having an opera. I know part of it is because it is a different language and it is hard to understand. What are some of the easier operas (if there are any)? I mean, not every role as singing The Queen of the Night.

What are some of the difficulties in singing an opera?ds browser

If you had people singing more opera in schools they'd all sound like Andrea Bocelli or Paul Potts. Yukk!

What are some of the difficulties in singing an opera?microsoft templates internet explorer

The reason you do not hear a school presenting an opera is that opera is a profession that best suits a mature artist. Voices do not mature until a person is in his / her early 20's at the earliest, and usually later, although there are exceptions. It depends upon the artist and how together he / she is.
Certainly, endurance is an issue, not only for the musicians onstage, but for the musicians in the orchestra. Musicals generally have breaks in the music for spoken dialogue, giving all the musicians a rest. It takes training to be able to maintain physical and mental endurance to perform a long opera.

Vocal range in operas is generally great than in musicals. This takes takes a level of training that most high school, and even some college music majors have not reached yet.

Does the phone browser still connect to the internet? If it does check the permissions you have set on Opera Mini, highlight Opera Mini in your applications menu then select MORE/OPTIONS or whatever is similar to that on your handset and check the SECURITY/ PERMISSIONS settings there, if they are set to NO/ALLOW NEVER on the internet connection settings that will be what is stopping you connecting, just change it to ALLOW/YES/ASK EACH TIME or whatever option is available on your handset. Or if you cant connect to the internet with either browser on your phone check your balance, you may just be out of credit!

What should I not eat when you are a opera singer im becoming one and have not a clue what to do .?

I eat allot of dairy beacuse I live on a dairy farm and i think drinking dairy helps me concentrate but is it bad to eat dairy when you are a opera singer.?

and I eat candy ,chocolate ext is that bad for opera singers .

and also meats I do eat meat I dont like it that much but I do eat it is that also bad.?

What should I not eat when you are a opera singer im becoming one and have not a clue what to do .?windows media player 10

Generally, the day you are going to sing, it is good advice not to drink any dairy as it does coat the vocal cords. I would think chocolate would do the same. If you still want to eat chocolate and drink dairy products what you can do is afterwards and at least 30 minutes before singing or warming up munch on a plain Granny Smith apple. The acid from the apple will clean off your vocal cords and the pectin will prevent them from drying out. Plus, they are more easily accessible than a cup of hot water, lemon and honey.

As far as meats go, I am not sure. Good luck!

What should I not eat when you are a opera singer im becoming one and have not a clue what to do .?microsoft net internet explorer

I sing too and I have discovered that the day I am to sing in public it is much easier for me to sing if I don't have dairy products. It coats the vocal chords. Otherwise eat dairy products cuz your body needs the calcium.

personally i love wandering child because its a beautiful song but its not the same without the huge cross scenery....and you need 2 or 3 people, one to be the Phantom and one to be Christine...3 if you do Raoul's optional thing.

supercalifragilisticexpialidocious might be easier if its just you doing it.
how many people do you want to do it with you??

also, how is your dancing because supercalafragilisticexpialidocious may demand some kind of choreography...

as was said before, it depends on your personality and which you can sell more.

GOOD LUCK!!
Well, it really depends on your style first-of-all. Are you really perky and mary poppins-ish or are you more serious and solemn? You also have to consider; which is better for your range? I, personally, would say that for a solo act Phantom. (I've done it, works well) Good luck!

Hope it works out well for ya,

Operamini has to go threw its slow setup procedure. Your going to have to delete the jar or jad,,,,,,,, that is the opera file and then download and install it again. The go threw the set up and pay close attention to its requests. It wants to test the connection, it want to acquire data from your device and then it want you to accept is terms and conditions. If you ruse this then it will not be configured properly. By the way operamini 4 is way better than 3,,,,,,,, you can get it here http://www.operamini.com/download/

Also make sure you internet is not blocked by your carrier. Just give them a call. Also make sure your phone is turned on.

What are your thoughts of an opera? HELPPP?microsoft templates

i think its boring like no other

the siging is ridiculously annoying

What are your thoughts of an opera? HELPPP?windows firewall internet explorer

It depends on the opera. Operas can be boring, but can also be funny, tragic, moving, and emotional. The Barber of Seville is a very funny opera, and well-known. La Boheme is funny but very emotional. The Magic Flute is based on myth and is very captivating. There are many people who say opera is boring and annoying...but most of them have never actually seen one. Granted, there are people who have seen operas and hated them, but unless you've seen more than one, you can't judge the performance. If the only opera I'd ever seen was Dido and Aeneas, I'd hate opera, too.

I dragged my long suffering boyfriend to see The Phantom of the Opera on Sunday, and was pleasantly surprised by it. Although I have never seen it on-stage, the film version - for me - was so enchanting that I now cannot wait to obtain tickets to it. The sets were absolutely beautiful. France is known for its beauty, and this adaption certainly paid homage to that. The theatre set itself was absolutely stunning; marble and velvet being the main materials within it. Emmy Rossum (Christine) was 17 when this was filmed and was absolutely outstanding. When she started to sing, my mouth literally dropped open. Minnie Driver (La Carlotta) was very funny in her Italian diva role. Her hand gestures added to the mannerisms of a typical diva. Her singing was overdone to add to the character (even though Ms. Driver did not do all the vocals herself). Patrick Wilson (Raoul), out of all of them, had the most captivating voice. Although Raoul seemed a bit wet and droopy, he was still gorgeous and made the GIRLS in the audience swoon. However, the star of the piece for me, was Gerard Butler (the Phantom). Although his vocal skills weren't entirely right for the part, he portrayed the Phantom as a lot of people see him; as a victim. I actually ended up warming to him, and when asked by my boyfriend who I would choose; Raoul or the Phantom, I said the Phantom. Something about the way Mr. Butler played him, was so sexy and he drew the WOMEN to him. Watching the Phantom and Raoul, certainly separated the boys from the men and the girls from the women. Another pleasant surprise is that Jennifer Ellison was actually rather good in her role as Meg, Christine's best friend. Miss Ellison has been trained in acting, singing and dancing and so was well equipped to the play the part, and carried it off very well. I wouldn't be surprised if more roles in Hollywood turned up for her. Overall, I rate this film a 5/5 and definitely recommend it. It sent shivers up my spine and gave me goosebumps. I urge those of you who haven't seen it, to become goosebump friendly by watching THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA!

O its a fabulous movie!!!

I lost count, but i have watched it over 36 times!

I have the soundtrack too....me and my friends used to be obsessed w/ it but now i just watch it when im feeling a little down in the dumps =)
I liked the movie and, even though I appreciate Gerard Butler in his other roles, I think he was miscast in the role of the Phantom.

That movie should be all about the music, and he just didn't have the voice.

But it was really beautiful to look at, wasn't it?
I love Phantom of the Opera. I had seen the old silent film in my early teens-then i actually had the privelage of going to see the play at the Orpheum in Minneapolis and it was extremely awesome-my first actual show that wasn't put on by a school or whatever you know-this was the real thing with the falling chandelier-what you'd see on broadway.

Ever since then-i've seen every version possible %26amp; have been back to the theatre to see it perfomed.

I love it because it's a great classic horror movie/show %26amp; i really feel sad for the phantom-poor dude!

it is my life and truly the greatest love story ever told i have seen it on stage many times and have watched, heard and read EVERYTHING that has to do with it and it has enchanted me for years now ever since I heard the music and stopped dead in my tracks, I HAD to know what that music was...and I found out =)

How to stop error console in opera browser?

Error console window often comes in using opera browser, how to stop this ever coming disturbance? Give way to me.

How to stop error console in opera browser?microsoft zune

f a dialog box labeled "Error Console" appears while using Opera, the reason is most likely that Opera is reporting an error in one or more e-mail accounts set up in Opera's built-in e-mail client.

To prevent the console from opening automatically, look for mail related errors in the console dialog, and go to Tools %26gt; Mail and chat accounts to correct any errors in your mail accounts.

If you have any inactive mail accounts, you can set Opera to not check for new mail automatically:

1. Go to Tools %26gt; Mail and chat accounts to access the "Manage accounts" dialog

2. Select a mail account and click the "Edit" button

3. Select the "Incoming" tab in the account properties dialog

4. Disable the setting called "Check for new messages every # minutes"

It is also possible that the error console has been set to show on Web site errors. To prevent this from happening, follow these steps:

1. Click link to go to opera:config#Error Console Filter.

2. Click the "Default" button.

3. Click the "Save" button below.

It is called THE WIERD AND THE RESTLESS.

It would star top contributors from all the different categories. We could start out with the angst between Imacatholic2 and Dr. A, who are wrestling with creationism vs. evolution. As the argument escalates, they agree to a duel at high noon. But....they never make it, because they fall under a voodoo hex perpetrated by Kokopelli. They become zombies who are bent to Kokopelli's will and are secreted away in the dark, dank catacombs beneath the city where all of the y/a trolls live. What will happen next? Will they escape, only to find their brains forever scrambled? Will they be cured of their strange ailment by the bizarre and resourceful Pangolin? And....what about the meaning of life? Could Dr. A find enlightenment in an apple? Will Imacatholic2 be forced to eat primordial soup? Stay tuned, dear friends, for the next lurid and tastless episode. Until then, enjoy these senseless commercials advertising things you don't need but must buy, buy, buy.....that's right, just keep looking at the screen...you are feeling sleepy, sleepy, deeply relaxed....soon you'll be completely bent to my will.....MUAHAHA!

This sounds like a total soap opera, but some advice please!?

Ok my best friend whom I love dearly has this whole soap opera going on in her life. She is living with her boyfriend (they were married 4 years ago, but got divorced after 18 months) They had a child from the first marriage, then split up, she got pregnant by another guy, they split up, and now is back with original husband/boyfriend. The thing is he is a total JERK!! He was remarried 2 MONTHS after they were divorced the first time, left his 2nd to be with her. He has a child with her. He does not see that child. Now he is back with my best friend, and he treats her like crap. She found out he had a girlfriend on the internet (she found the number in his pocket), he told her he hates her cooking and would rather eat at his mom's. His parents hate her, and she is now pergnant for the 3rd time. She won't leave because she says she has nowhere to go, can't afford to work (daycare would be too much) and no man would take her with 3 kids. I am getting so fed up with the whole thing!

good luck for your friend.Stay out of it is my adivice.

Has anyone seen Phantom of the Opera at the Venetian in Las Vegas?

Hey! I'm a local here to Las Vegas and I am going to see Phantom of the Opera tonight at the Venetian... I loved the music from the movie but I couldn't get into the story. I'm only going because it's a "girls night out". Has anyone seen the actual show in Vegas and what did you think?

Has anyone seen Phantom of the Opera at the Venetian in Las Vegas?microsoft internet explorer

All of the Broadway shows that are brought to Las Vegas are being cut to a 90 min. version. After the first part of Avenue Q, Vegas Big Wigs decided that most people who come to Vegas would rather be gambling and 2 1/2 - 3 hours is too long.

A 90 minute version might be just the thing for you! To better help you understand the story, buy (or check out from the library) the Broadway soundtrack. Inside is the libretto. Read along, and it will really help you enjoy it better when you see it!

Have you seen the Broadway hit on stage? I have seen it three times. Twice with Michael Crawford once with Robert G.

The movie was cool. But it cannot compare with the stage show.
Not me...
No.
Love, Love IT. My 3 year old daughter also loves to watch it with me. It's one of our top 5 movies.
I was pretty impressed with the movie. I thought I'd hate it because I had seen it on Broadway with the original cast, and I didn't think they'd be able to do it justice. They did pretty well, though. (Not as good as the stage version, but still pretty good.)
I loved it!
love it.
I was disappointed with that film. I love the story, the musical, and all that. However, the movie just didn't live up to my expectations. Perhaps if they had gotten actors that could actually sing it would have been better.
I do they are my favorites. Gerard is such a wonderful singer I absolutely adore him as for emmy she is the best Christine I have ever heard because she doesn't over do the whole christine thing.
Not me. I love Michael Crawford and Sarah Brightman : ) Sorry.
ME!!!
The movie was pretty good, but it could've been better. The singing was amazing (I also have the soundtrack) but I prefer the 2004 Italian movie cast starring Luca Velletri and Renata Fusco.
OMG I LOVE IT TOO!!!!!!!
I love the Phantom but my two faves are Michael Ball and Sarah Brightman.:)
I thought it was very good. In fact, I would pick Emmy Rossum's voice over Sarah Brightman's anyday. Brightman uses too much vibrato for my taste.

Are there any cd's or just tracks of opera arias WITHOUT the singing and just the instrumental?

i have to produce an opera for my humanities class..=(( and it would be really helpful to find an actual opera aria than to have to use symphonies and other stuff...

Are there any cd's or just tracks of opera arias WITHOUT the singing and just the instrumental??www.microsoft.com

Yes there are.

Many orchestras use the following arias and use the upper instruments to play the melody.

Carmen's Habanera (La'mour est un oiseau rebelle) has been covered many times by orchestra only. A violin usually covers the melody. Any of Carmen's noted arias are usually covered. Habanera is just the most famous one.

Dom'Epais (from Lakme) is often on commercials with only orchestra.

Mild und Liese (Wagner's Tristan Und Isolde) has an EXTREMELY long intro before Isolde utters a sound. Consider that one. It doesn't even need vocals because it is so full.

Si mi chiamano Mimi or any aria from La Boheme (Puccini) for that matter is often played by orchestra only on many movie soundtracks without voice.

Una furtiva lagrima from L'Elisir D'Amore is covered also. BUT it isn't the same without the TENOR. LOL! (especially if it is Placido Domingo)

You could go in any music store, look through the classical section, and find plenty of orchestral arrangements of arias without voice. You can also find them on I-Tunes as another answerer said. Your best bet is to type in some of the songs I suggested, and look for the ones with insturmentals alone. It may also quote the instrumental artist who plays the melody. YoYoMa does this with some of his recordings, replacing the melody with his instrument.

Also, don't rule out the orchestral pieces in operas that DON'T involve singing. Every opera has one, and some of them are recognizable. That would take less work on your part too. LOL! All about working smart, not hard. That's my new motto.

Are there any cd's or just tracks of opera arias WITHOUT the singing and just the instrumental??microsoft windows xp internet explorer

I don't know of any but I know a program called 'vocal remover' it costs like 30 bux but it removes the vocals from a track you have on your comp. Just google it!!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=42xpJCscD...
First place I'd search is itunes. Also, Karaoke-version.com is a good site but I don't know how much they'll have in the opera genre.

Do not under any circumstance use a vocal removing program. All it does is drop the frequency at which the voice is singing at any particular point and the music ends up sounding very choppy and distorted.

Practically anything written by Jim Steinman, but I guess number one for me has got to be Bat Out Of Hell. For number two I'll switch to Comfortably Numb from Pink Floyd's The Wall. Number three I'll go back to Jim and Meatloaf with Two Out Of Three Ain't Bad - my sister-in-law and I always pick this to duet at karaoke nights.

Whistle register in Phantom of the Opera?

Does Christine sing in the wistle register in Phantom of the Opera? Like in the theme song? Or any song for that matter.

The whistle register is most commonly used to produce pitches around and above the soprano C.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Whistle_reg...

In the song "The Phantom of the Opera", Christine sings a cadenza that ends on high E natural after a bunch of sustained high C's...If you call the whistle register anything above C- then I would say yes...

no, I don't think so. That's opera, it's another genre of music, maybe that's why you think it's whistle. ;) Christine (well, Sarah Brightman - which plays her role) is a soprano, she sings really high, but not in whistle.

Does anyone know of a cookie similar to keebler opera cream or a recipe for a similar cookie?

My husband has said several times that when he was a kid his favorite cookie was keebler opera cream and they are no longer made. I have never had one of these and I would like to find a similar cookie or even make a cookie like this for him. He has told me that if golden oreos had a lemon flavor to them then they would be close to an opera cream cookie. Please help me if you can, I would really like to surprise him with this. Thank you so much for your help!

Does anyone know of a cookie similar to keebler opera cream or a recipe for a similar cookie?microsoft visual studio

Let's try and make this his new favorite:

Lemon Cream filled Cookies

INGREDIENTS:

200gr butter at room temperature

100gr sugar

1 egg yolk

juice of 1 lemon

2 cups (240 g) flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

pinch of salt

For the filling

50gr butter

2 teaspoonfuls of lemon juice

50gr caster sugar

Prep:

Whip the butter and sugar until creamy. Add the egg yolk and keep beating until everything is well mixed.

Sift the flour with the salt and the baking powder and add to the first preparation together with the lemon juice.

Knead the dough gently, wrap it in polythene and chill for at least one hour.

Roll out all the dough until it is 0.5 cm thick and cut out 3cm circles with a floured cutter.

Place them on a baking sheet (without greasing) and bake in a moderately hot oven for 10 minutes.

Remove from the baking sheet and cool on a wire rack.

Filling: Whip the butter with the caster sugar until creamy. Add the juice of one lemon.

Spread this lemon cream over half of the cookies. Cover each one of them with the other

half and press gently.

Roll the borders of the filled cookies on ground nuts.

Sprinkle with caster sugar before serving.

COOK鈥橲 TIP: Once baked, the cookies are fragile. It would be better if you could wait for a day before filling them with the lemon cream.

How can a teen learn about opera?

How can a young teenager (13 years old) learn about opera? I really like it, but performances are expensive. I already subscribe to a few podcasts and look up famous operas on Wikipedia, I wish it were more accessible. What else can I do to further my education/entertainment on this subject?

P.S. I live in the NY metro area

How can a teen learn about opera?microsoft windows xp

Thats awesome that you want to learn about opera. If you are really interested (and you live in a really awesome place to learn about opera) learning about the history is a good start. Going to the library and picking out books on previous performers, styles, or any kind of history that you can find. I know that it will be kinda boring at first but there are alot of cool things you can find about performance and styles with that. Youtube is also a very good place to watch performances (good and bad).

Which is also cool about living in your area is that there are many aspiring singers in the city. The Mahattan School of music ( i am not familiar with how expensive they are for performances, it would be a good idea to check) they might have student performances. (I personally have a friend studying there and he says that some are free). Also, you can get lessons from music students there as well for not so bad a price either!

I hope this helps

try searching "great opera composers".
Since you live in New York you have several smaller opera companies to go to that don't cost too much, and there are student performances at Juilliard and the Manhattan School of Music.

Otherwise, you can buy an opera synopsis book, and get some opera recordings at your local library. You may be able to also check out opera scores there, and follow along with the music.

It is really great that you have an interest in opera - it is an amazing art form.
I am just beginning a series of lego operas to help introduce opera to a general audience. I've only completed one opera so far, Il Trovatore, but you can watch it on youtube.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=uErW42zznfo

This link will take you to act I, but look around there and you should see links to acts 2,3, and 4. I hope you like it!
My advice would be to watch some operas on DVD. They cost some money, too, but you might be able to find quite a few that you could rent for free or for a nominal fee at your local public library.

Which of the Phantom of the Opera is your favorite, and why?

Which Phantom of the Opera do you like better, the book, play, or movie (the most recent)? And why?

Which of the Phantom of the Opera is your favorite, and why?windows 2000

I've seen both the movie and the play, and undoubtedly the play is my favorite.

I've seen old video of Michael Crawford, which is incredible, and even whoever was on tour when I saw it was amazing. There was real talent on that stage, and even in basically the back row where I was sitting, I was getting chills from the scenery and I cried at the end, there was just so much emotion in it. The time I saw it, you could really see the deformity, which was nice.

I honestly did not like the movie at all. I felt it was over made over to be what Hollywood wanted. I felt the girl who played Christine lacked that amazing voice you need to have, mostly because she's so young, and Gerard Butler is FAR to attractive to play Phantom. Phantom in my eyes is supposed to be haunting looking with just a hint of the handsomeness he used to have, but Gerard Butler just played to the teenage fan girls who want someone hot. Plus I wasn't overwhelmed by his voice either. The deformity was barely there at all, which is such a big part of it, and the movie overall just lacked the emotion I felt in the play.

Which of the Phantom of the Opera is your favorite, and why?internet explorer internet explorer

Though the original is undoubtedly a classic, I like how the newer version attracted a younger aged and otherwise broader crowd. The movie did a fantasic job of portraying all that goes into the movie, as far as the dramatic, the romance, the music, the suspense...But they are both awesome...
The book by Gaston Leroux is classic, and without it, no things Phantom come. I enjoyed the book Phantom by Susan Key.

I'm even a fan of the Robert Englund Phantom, even if he's quite gory, sometimes I just like a bloodthirsty Phantom. Lon Chaney and Claude Reins are faves, too.

But for the musical? There is no other than Michael Crawford. His voice is just haunting in "The Music of the Night" and he captured the essence of the romantic, as opposed to the horrifying, Phantom. The Phantom was either a figure of horror or pity until Michael Crawford.

Another lesser known but excellent fave is Jeff Hyssop of "Today's Special" fame.

Gerard Butler has a coarse rock star voice, so he really isn't my favourite, and is so good looking I can ignore his so-called deformity. It looks like a birthmark, really, that could be covered in a Bare Minerals infomercial.

The Theatre Phantom needed deformity that could be seen in the last row!
Oh, what a hard choice! I have yet to see the play, but should do so soon. The movie was amazing, the sets, the characters, the plot, absolutely breath taking. I saw the movie before I read the book. The book has more in depth explanations, such as why to 'keep your hand at the level of your eye'. The movie provides such a range of visual stimulation, that is just not provided in the book. I like the movie better, for the story, for the actors (GERARD BUTLER), and for the visuals. But, particularly for me... the music!
i love the book, and the musical is wonderful, its probably my favorite show, but i like the movie. i like the stage play better than the screenplay, and gerard butler is no michael crawford, but there is so much you can do on the big screen that you cant do on the stage.

Ok well i want to sing opera, but i have trouble shooting way up...any advice?

im 14. i sing in a choir at my lutheran highschool, which im a tenor in. 'time to say goodbye' by sarah brightman and andrea bocelli got me hooked on opera. i cant really afford vocal training through my choir...so i realise my chances are slim. very very slim.

Ok well i want to sing opera, but i have trouble shooting way up...any advice?microsoft word 2003

Are you sure you're really a tenor? You're only 14 and your voice is still maturing Yes, you have already gone through puberty but that doesn't mean your voice is done growing. Even with professional training a singer's voice doesn't truly mature until they are around 30. Also, a lot of times guys are mislabeled in high school in order to fill up the tenor section. You may actually be a baritone.

You can work on expanding your range but you should first get a general idea of your tessitura (the range that you feel most comfortable in). For example, as a soprano I can sing from the G below middle C to high C, but I feel most comfortable singing from middle C to the A one octave up.

Basic Choral Ranges:

* Tenor: C3 - C5

* Baritone: G2 - G4

* Bass: E2 - E4

Opera Range

* Tenor: B2 - G4

* Baritone: G2 - E4

* Bass/Basso: E2 - C4

To understand the numbers, click here:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scientific_...

As for affording vocal training: If you have a college with a music program nearby you should call up and ask if they are looking for guinea pigs. Students for their music majors to test their teaching skills out on. You may not get lessons for free but you would probably get a reduced rate.

Ok well i want to sing opera, but i have trouble shooting way up...any advice?internet explorer 6 internet explorer

Rachel's answer is a good one, but let me reiterate one point. You NEED vocal training to be an operatic singer. But don't panic. You're very young. I wouldn't stress out about your range at this point, or training. You have time.

But I would start taking lessons when you go to college. Your voice is what it is. Unlike external musical instruments, we don't have any choice about what we're given. You might be a tenor, or might not. You might have the power to sing big roles, or you might have a very light voice. Sadly, we're stuck with what we have.

The very highest notes of each range aren't easy to hit, and no one hits them easily without training. You need to learn the proper technique to sing those high notes. Trying without that training will do little for your voice, and could damage it.

Yes, in the afternoon, people traditionally dress in kabuki or clown costumes with appropriate makeup.

Actually, call the box office. They will give you a straight answer, and since you are anonymous, you won't feel like an idiot.

What do my girlfriend and I wear to an opera that's in the afternoon?internet explorer download internet explorer

yes a different attire is called for. you should wear a pair of causual kaki pants with an ordinary church church shirt tucked in. she should wear something that she would normally wear on a first date to nice restaraunt. nothing to jazzy like jewelry or pinned up hair. dress as if your trying to impress one another on a first date, this is day time formal!
Dress nicely, but formal attire is not required. A nice, dressy pantsuit or semi-formal dress would be appropriate (go for longer lengths, not a cocktail dress, though), as would a suit and tie, although full tux would not be necessary. Hope you have a wonderful time at the opera!
Hell it's San Fran. You should both wear a tube top and hot pants. And opera glasses
Girl a dark skirt and white blouse, hose flat shue

or low heals, make up,and a vest over the blouse.

Boy brown or kaki dress slacks, white shirt with a

tie and sports coat.

Opera glasses if you have a pair.Don't worry what

others wear.( you will know you'r proper )
just don`t 0ver dress it will make you look like its your first opera. Ill give you some don`t since everyone else is giving you the do`s. don`t wear jeans, shorts, tennis shoes, flip flops, hiking attire, slutty looking stuff, lots of make up, just remember the people came to hear and see the opera not you. blend in and enjoy this very special afternoon. wear some thing comfortable.

No they don't that was 18 years ago. But don't worry the current Broadway cast is excellent.

Check out Phantom on Broadway for news and updated casting:

No they don't, there are only 3 people in the current cast who are from the obc (original broadway cast), but the are not the leads (they started out in the chorus and have understudied some of the leads).

Generally the lead actors stay on for one season, sometimes shorter, sometimes longer, but definetly not for 18 years. I'm sure that Crawford and Brightman do benefit concerts every once in a while.

This is the classical music forum, try directing your question to the pop forum where it belongs. The Phantom of the Opera is not classical music.
The notes to the main theme are:

D (hold for 6 counts)

D-C#-C-B

Bb (hold for 6 counts)

Bb-B-C-C#

(repeat the above ad nauseum.)

To learn the rest of the song, I'd suggest buying the soundtrack and playing along- it's not a hard song to learn by ear.
I think it is Hal Leonard that publishes an easy piano songbook for Phantom. That may be suitable depending on skill. The copyright will prevent you from getting it free.

Can anyone help me with some Opera tips?

I sing mid-range soprano and I'm teaching myself "Habanera" from Carmen by Georges Bizet. Can anyone give me tips on singing this or just singing opera in general?

Can anyone help me with some Opera tips?

I have sung Habanera many times, and I would say the most difficult part of the aria is the wording. The melody seems simple, but the phonetics are so far from english, and it can be a bit wordy. I would suggest getting the phonetics down first, since the melody is pretty simple. You could either listen to a good recording by a french singer, or a good opera singer with strong french verbal skills like Marilyn Horne or Maria Callas. Study how they pronounce the words. Also, the school way of doing it is to get a French Diction Book for singers. You can google that and you will get results. But if you don't have time for that, do the recordings.

After getting the phonetics, work on bridging the phrases together with good breath support. I have heard some singers chop up the phrases by breathing in between. It is supposed to feel slightly legato when singing the phrases. Make sure your breath support is in tact, and make sure your bottom is warmed up properly to give the feeling of the aria. You don't want those bottom notes to sound airy or weak. That is the best parts of the aria. Of course, when you get all the technical things down, get into the character and become the vixen she is. Carmen doesn't give a dang about any man. All she cares about is herself and how she can seduce any man to get what she wants. That is what you want to display. That is why people love the song so much also.

Tips on singing opera? Well, singing opera is so complex sometimes. For some arias, you have to give a different voice according to the composer. I would suggest just studying and observing really good opera singers of the past if you cannot afford formal training. If you can, hire a voice teacher who specializes in opera or classical music. The core to singing opera is technique. Diaphragmatic breathing is imparative to last on stage while singing opera. Learn your voice type through vocalizations and warm ups, try not to get too frustrated while practicing and remember it comes with the territory. You are not always gonna get it right the first time, but it will come. Try to study different languages, or at least the diction. That way, when you have to sing an aria in another language it will not be so difficult. Be confident in yourself, and study study study. Soak up opera like a spunge. Singing opera is the longest study in any singing field so you are going to need patience, but once you get it, you will be IN LOVE with it in your voice. Have fun!

Stand up nice and tall and when you want to hit the really highnotes, give an extra burst off breath and be sure that before you do that you take a big lugful of nice fresh oxygen
Ive actually sung in an opera myself. "Suor Angelica" maybe you've heard of it. What you would be singing would be an aria, which is a piece from an opera. In any opera, expression is key, be sure to know exactly what you are saying and what every single word means so that you can portray it to your audience. Another thing would be to find a song that best suits you. I dont know what you sound like vocally but if you are mid-range you would probably need to stick to a medium-soprano key, this actually is what I sing as well and is probably the most common. Carmen is a spanish type opera so do your research on the entire opera, not just the song, know the storyline, know whats going on in that moment and how it relates to the rest of the opera....trust me...Ive being taking private voice lessons for 11 years...I know what Im talking about. I went to a private arts college and studied to be a music teacher there so if you ever have any type of musical questions, please let me know! Hope this helps!
This is a deceptively difficult song. The dance form it comes from has that usual sultry flair that we all love about modern

Latin American music, so imagine the effect it had, a hundred years ago, before salsa and co. made their appearance...

You want to work on the sweep or the legato phrasing of the song. it's that smooth sweep against the insistent rhythm that makes the sultriness come out.

How is your French? If you haven't got the words down ( and more than just phonetically) you won't believe in what you are doing either.

that's the key to much of opera- know your text, down to the last comma; know how the melody fits in with the rest of the music going on around it, and how it makes the story line move along; don't forget about your breathing! It'll make it or break it.

Bonne chance
i have songs on youtube of me singing opera and i got a lot of good feedback. maybe you should post some up on youtube and get some comments on there and see what ppl think of it. good luck!

great choice in music though

The only tip I can give on singing this aria is to sing it as a Mezzo, not a Soprano.
