his name is Erik, in the original Gaston Leroux book that is what he is called. He said he came about it by accident, i think he said he may have named himself but im noy sure about that...and he doesn't give a last name. Although in different versions he is given a last name.
Destler, D'Anton, Edelmann are some of the last names he is given...hope i helped!
