fancy cocktail dress or really fancy pantsuit
clothes
Gownless evening straps are always appropriate in France.
a nice cocktail dress should do with a wrap.
one of those little black dress's, it's gotta be strapless.
This is formal. Long dark gown, jewelry and a wrap or coat. Heels. Hair up. If you want to go all out, long gloves (opera gloves).
just look real nice like some dress pants and a turtle neck with some necklace[s] and heels. hope i helped
earplugs
I think that you should wear like a nice plain long black dress, i think that would be nice...
What do you want to wear - is where you should start and then wear that
Wow, you lucky girl.

Best thing would be a long black velvet skirt, pretty sweater metalic jewell color, and a cape

If you can sew, the skirt and cape would not be too expensive.
your nicest clothes.

by the way u r so lucky to go to paris i havn't gone in since i was 3 and i am 12 now.
You should wear the most formal dress in your closet. If you have enough money then you should consider a designer dress, or you can get a dress at a vintage shop, you can't go wrong with vintage ;-)
This will be a very formal event. I'm sure you'll enjoy it greatly whatever you are hearing.
I'm guessing you are over 18ish.If "early evening" is around 8,a full formal evening gown is appropriate. If it between 4 and 6,high end business attire is OK.Safe bet is to ask the concierge at your hotel.
The best nicest fluffiest dress you can get, you think you are going to the opera but actually its a fashion show and everyone looks at everyone else ... to see whose dress they have and is it this seasons... if you are going to be differnet be very different, a little different is not enough, make it a fashion statement of your own....and the icing on th ecake, book your interval drinks and get a table where you are seen as the plebs come in and have to Q| ... speak french in a squeaky high voice too if you can, alternating into perfect english. Cuddly a Steiff poodle closely (white if possible)Read zis velly carefully, I shall only type this wonce,

an opera fan
A Nice black dress not to conserative but also not Sluty

For coloer you dont need to go black but a darker coloer is nice

Have fun!
In Europe we get too dressy for opera, but it doesn't apply to me. i really feel uncomfotable wearing a gown but also don't want look like any other day. So i just pick up a little black dress, it goes for every occasion! get some ideas at saks.com. i like mini sequined ones and also chanel style of dresses. You can match one with a peep-toe (again check saks for loubuten shoes) and you are ready!
A dress. Like an evening gown or a cocktail dress. I went to a broadway show in new york and still wore a really nice gown. Have fun that sounds amazing!
