Is the L Word getting overly soap opera-ish?

With each passing season, they add more characters and more stuff -- so much so that there are too many small pieces going on and nothing ever has closure...much like a soap opera. What do you think? Too many characters and sub plots? Or just right? Or do you want more stuff?

I thought the same thing and mentioned it at the lesbian bar that we were watching it at and everyone else there agreed as well. I know life can be crazy but damn, they are just making it too crazy on that show. I even watched the episode again after they played the first one thinking maybe I would like it if I watched it again but nope. Hope it gets better.

it is a freaking soap opera!!!! What do you expect?
what is the L word ?
I hate soap operas! Theres like 5 sub stories and 1 major story in one Story! LOL!!!
I agree that it is getting too crowded. I liked it when it was just the few main characters...now it can get confusing with all the different plots and subplots. It is like a gay daytime soap opera.
The L word is a soap opera, and on top of that, it is a late night soap in Showtime, so that just screams gratuitous sex and over the top drama. But, I understand where you鈥檙e coming from. In the beginning, the show was kind of tame and had a good storyline, but after season 2 everything got crazy and the characters spiraled more out of control. But, I still like it and I can鈥檛 wait to see what happens next. Love obsessed Alice, dying Dana, transgender Max, kidnapper Bette and cutter Jenny are outlandish, but the show hasn鈥檛 become completely absurd鈥et.
