Does anyone think flight of icarus by iron maiden is opera?

I was playing the song on my stereo and hes like iron maiden sucks it sounds like frikin opera. I said that its pure heavy metal and its way better than all the newer metal bands. So does anyone else also think Flight of icarus sounds like opera? I dont think so.

sound like opera.. that's a new one... Bruce Dickinson has one of the best voices there is, not too many can compare to him in my opinion.. maybe Rob Halford, Dio and Geoff Tate... I think the opera thing is way out there.. but some of the notes or tones that he can hit can probably be compared to be as difficult as some opera. Music such as Iron Maiden .. is not just a bunch of guys singing to make a few bucks.. there is real talent there ... plain and simple just a great voice .. and great in concert also .. Bruce really controls the stage and gives it 110% +

I think it sounds more Prog-Rock..which includes Operatic styles like Queen and even a similar song by Kansas!

I dont. It's great 80's metal. Might be operatic in lyrical content but not melodically...... That guy must have never heard opera before.
